"Today, nearly 50 years after President Kennedy signed the original Equal Pay Act into law the wage gap persists in Connecticut and across the nation. While I am proud of the steps we have taken to address this inequality, today demonstrates the important work still left to do.

Washington – Today Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) joined the U.S. House of Representatives in passing the Violence Against Women Act. In a 286-138 vote, the House passed the Senate Version of VAWA, S. 47.

Washington - Today Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) called on House Republican Leadership to vote on and pass the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). Earlier today, by a vote of 78-22, the Senate passed a bill identical to the VAWA reauthorization introduced by House Democrats last month.
