Hartford, CT – As June marks the start of Great Outdoors Month, the Connecticut Congressional Delegation announced that the U.S. Department of Interior has awarded a $3.94 million grant from the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP). The funding will help improve local public parks and outdoor recreation access for Connecticut residents.

Larson (CT-01) visited East Hartford High School to announce the Town of East Hartford received $45.5 million in federal aid from the American Rescue Plan, COVID relief legislation Larson helped author and pass in Congress. $21 million of the local aid for East Hartford was allocated for their school district to safely re-open and offer new enrichment opportunities throughout the school year and during the summer for students.
