Hartford, CT – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) announced South Windsor has received $9.1 million in federal aid from the American Rescue Plan, legislation Larson helped author and pass. Larson joined members of the Town Council and town staff at Nevers Park to discuss the town’s use of American Rescue Plan funding to support mental health initiatives.

East Hartford, CT – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) joined East Hartford Mayor Mike Walsh and local leaders to announce $700,000 in new federal funding to repair the Hockanum River Linear Park Trail. These funds were secured by Larson and will be used for trail safety improvements, including repairs to damaged footbridge and boardwalk structures, as well as various flood mitigation efforts throughout East Hartford’s 3.5-mile stretch.
Hartford, CT – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT- 01) released the following statement after the Supreme Court ruled to continue excluding the residents of Puerto Rico from receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program.
“Today’s Supreme Court decision to continue excluding senior and disabled Puerto Ricans from SSI is shameful,” said Larson. “Puerto Ricans are Americans and should not be denied the critical support this program provides.
