Hartford, CT – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) announced South Windsor has received $9.1 million in federal aid from the American Rescue Plan, legislation Larson helped author and pass. Larson joined members of the Town Council and town staff at Nevers Park to discuss the town’s use of American Rescue Plan funding to support mental health initiatives.

Hartford, CT – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) announced $200,000 in federal funding for the levee systems in Hartford and East Hartford was included in this year’s government funding package. These funds will support one year of the feasibility study to address deficiencies in the Flood Damage Reduction System along the Connecticut River.

Larson (CT-01) joined East Hartford Mayor Mike Walsh and local leaders to announce $700,000 in new federal funding to repair the Hockanum River Linear Park Trail. These funds were secured by Larson and will be used for trail safety improvements, including repairs to damaged footbridge and boardwalk structures, as well as various flood mitigation efforts throughout East Hartford’s 3.5-mile stretch.
