Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) released the following statement after the Supreme Court released its ruling on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, overturning Roe v. Wade and ending the constitutionally protected right to abortion:
“The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn almost 50 years of precedent and subjugate women’s rights to their own bodies is shameful,” said Larson. “Abortion is now completely outlawed in 13 states with more expected to follow.

As the United States faces a worsening infant formula shortage, the Food and Drug Administration has allowed formula to be imported from around the world.

Hartford, CT - Today, the Connecticut Congressional Delegation announced that seven libraries across the state have been awarded federal funds to aid their economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant, funded by the American Rescue Plan and awarded by the National Endowment for the Humanities, will allow libraries in rural and or historically underserved communities to retain and rehire workers, reopen sites and facilities, and expand educational programs.

Hartford, CT – As June marks the start of Great Outdoors Month, the Connecticut Congressional Delegation announced that the U.S. Department of Interior has awarded a $3.94 million grant from the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP). The funding will help improve local public parks and outdoor recreation access for Connecticut residents.
