Washington, D.C. - Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) joined Rep. Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) to introduce the American Family Act, which would make the monthly Child Tax Credit permanent. In 2021, the expanded Child Tax Credit Democrats passed as part of the American Rescue Plan COVID relief package created the largest drop in child poverty in a single year.

Larson (CT-01) and Joe Courtney (CT-02), Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy, and Aging and Disability Services Commissioner Amy Porter announced that the Connecticut Department of Aging and Disability Services has been awarded $10 million in funding from the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) that will be used to support upgrades and enhancements at senior centers statewide in Connecticut.
