Today, the Connecticut Congressional Delegation sent a letter to Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex Azar urging him to release additional Congressionally-appropriated funding to the seventeen small- and medium-sized hospitals in Connecticut that were excluded from the recent $10 billion COVID High Impact Allocation. Connecticut currently ranks among the hardest hit states in the nation for COVID-19 illnesses and deaths per capita.

Today, U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) and Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) and U.S. Representatives John Larson (D-1), Joe Courtney (D-2), Rosa DeLauro (D-3), Jim Himes (D-4), and Jahana Hayes (D-5) applauded $7.5 million that Connecticut health centers will receive from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), to expand COVID-19 testing. The funding was passed as a part of the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act.
