East Hartford, CT – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01), Senator Richard Blumenthal, and Mayor Connor Martin announced $625,000 in federal funding for the East Hartford Fire Department to purchase new equipment and offer certification training for all firefighters and apparatus operators.

Hartford, CT - Today, members of the Connecticut Congressional Delegation and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced $418,000 in funding for Connecticut to protect children from lead in drinking water at schools and childcare facilities. This grant funding will be used to reduce lead exposure where children learn and play while advancing the goals of the Biden-Harris Administration's Lead Pipe and Paint Action Plan.

Hartford, CT - Today, the Connecticut Congressional Delegation and Governor Ned Lamont announced that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is awarding a coalition of states known as the New England Heat Pump Accelerator Coalition – which includes Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island – with a $450 million grant through the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant program to accelerate adoption of affordable electric heat pumps throughout the region.

Hartford, CT - Today, members of the Connecticut Congressional Delegation, Governor Ned Lamont, and Connecticut Transportation Commissioner Garrett Eucalitto announced a $38.9 million competitive grant for the CT Department of Transportation (CTDOT) from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to purchase 46 battery electric buses and install 29 chargers for the CTfastrak bus rapid transit service.

Hartford, CT – Today, members of the Connecticut Congressional Delegation, Governor Ned Lamont, and Education Commissioner Charlene Russell-Tucker announced the release of more than $2 million in grants for 36 school districts and summer camp programs across Connecticut that will be used to support the delivery of mental health programming for students during the summer months over the next two years.

Larson (CT-01) and Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy announced that three Connecticut projects will receive a total of $21.7 million in federal funding through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s 2024 RAISE grant program awards, including funding for a comprehensive study of the Berlin Turnpike to accommodate bicycle, pedestrian, and transit users along the corridor.
