East Hartford, CT – Today Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) called on Speaker Mike Johnson to bring the House back into session to address ICE’s lawlessness and work to prevent a government shutdown. If the Senate fails to pass the funding package they are voting on this week, and the House remains out of session, many government agencies will shut down on January 31st.

Washington, D.C. - Following new revelations that ‘DOGE’ employees stole sensitive records from Social Security and schemed to hand them over to a MAGA-aligned group trying to overturn elections, House Social Security Subcommittee Ranking Member John B. Larson (CT-01), Rep. Steven Horsford (NV-04), and Rep. Gabe Amo (RI-01) introduced amendments to reduce Social Security Commissioner Frank Bisignano’s salary to $1 unless he immediately removes ‘DOGE’ employees from their databases, hands over all records related to ‘DOGE’ criminal activity at the Social Security Administration and mishandling of private records, and reverses the Trump Administration’s cuts to Social Security.
