The Trump administration has acknowledged for the first time in a court filing that members of the U.S. DOGE Service accessed and shared sensitive Social Security data without the awareness of agency officials.
Rep. Larson wrote the following Letter to the Editor that appeared in the Boston Globe.
The Jan. 14 editorial, “Mitt Romney puts a spotlight on Social Security’s looming shortfall,” highlights the importance of both protecting Social Security from cuts and enhancing the nation’s number one anti-poverty program for the elderly and children.
While the wealthy were sleeping off New Year’s Eve, more than 293 Americans paid all their Social Security tax for the year. Unlike the richest earners, 95% of Americans will pay for the entire year.
Washington, D.C. - Today, House Social Security Subcommittee Ranking Member John B. Larson (CT-01) blasted Republicans on the Ways and Means Committee for their inaction on the ongoing data privacy issues at Social Security.
