East Hartford, CT – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) released the following statement after Donald Trump attempted to “clean up his remarks” calling for cuts to Social Security. 

“When Donald Trump called for cuts to Social Security on national television this week, the American people heard him loud and clear,” said Larson. “Every year he was in office, Donald Trump proposed cuts to the benefits seniors and people with disabilities rely on, and now he wants to return to the White House to get it done. Standing united with President Biden, Democrats will protect and expand benefits, not cut them. We will never let Donald Trump and his MAGA Republicans cut any benefits Americans have earned through a lifetime of hard work.”
