Larson Statement on the Passing of Melody Currey

Washington, D.C. - Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) released the following statement on the passing of Melody Currey, who passed away at the age of 71: 

“East Hartford lost one of its grand ladies in Melody Currey, someone who served as Mayor of our community, a State Legislator, and as a State Commissioner," said Larson. "I have had the pleasure of working with Melody, Don, and Jeff over the years. They are a remarkable family, and she was a remarkable, capable woman who put service above self. What a great loss for the community. Our thoughts and prayers are with Don and the entire Currey family.”
