Larson Statement Mourning the Loss of Hartford Police Officer Robert “Bobby” Garten

East Hartford, CT – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) released the following statement after Officer Robert “Bobby” Garten died in the line of duty early Wednesday morning.  

“My prayers and condolences are with Officer Garten’s family and the Hartford Police force today as they mourn this devastating loss,” said Larson. “Officer Garten died while serving our community, and his loss is a heartbreaking reminder of the dangers law enforcement face every day. My thoughts are also with Officer Brian Kearney, and I wish him a quick recovery.”
