“Sick? You know what’s sick, [Mr. President] — stormtroopers in Newington. Children terrified. Families destroyed. You turned American neighborhoods into hunting grounds,” said Larson. “I stand up for the people I’m sworn to serve. Maybe the President should too.”

On Saturday, ICE detained seven workers at the Optima Car Wash in Newington. No local officials were notified, and no details have been made available about who these men and women are.

Rep. Larson is a cosponsor of the No Secret Police Act to require ICE agents to identify themselves and bar them from wearing masks. He is also a cosponsor of the Protecting Sensitive Locations Act to prevent ICE raids at schools, hospitals, courthouses, and places of worship.
