Larson Recognizes Craig Jordan for his Induction into the Connecticut Veterans Hall of Fame
East Hartford, CT – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) congratulated Vietnam veteran Craig Jordan of South Windsor for his induction into the Connecticut Veterans Hall of Fame after Rep. Larson nominated him for the 2022 class of inductees.
“I have known Craig Jordan for many years and have seen firsthand his lifetime of service and unwavering commitment to the youth and veterans of our state,” said Larson. “After serving in Vietnam, Craig has worked tirelessly to honor our veterans, helping to bring the Fallen Star Memorial to East Hartford, spearheading various community service projects for Greater Hartford veterans, and serving as Goodwin University’s Veterans Coordinator to assist students with military backgrounds as they transition to college. His selfless devotion to our region’s veterans and the community as a whole is why I nominated him to the Veterans Hall of Fame. I could not be prouder of Craig for receiving this well-deserved honor.”
Alongside 11 other inductees, Craig Jordan was presented with a commemorative medallion and certificate to recognize his official induction as members of the Connecticut Veterans Hall of Fame Class of 2022 at Thursday’s induction ceremony.
Craig served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1969-1974. Today, he serves on Rep. Larson’s Veterans & Military Advisory Council and is a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 120. As Goodwin University’s Veterans Coordinator, he established the Veterans OASIS, a resource center for student veterans on campus.
