"The American Rescue plan includes countless number of provisions that directly help American families and our challenge is to make sure families across the state and country know what these benefits are and how to apply for them," said Larson. "Our office has been inundated with calls from residents on the struggles many people are having accessing their stimulus checks. I was so grateful to have Ken Corbin from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) provide resources and answer questions to help people get the relief they need and deserve. If anyone in the First District needs assistance, they can call our office at 860-278-8888 and we will reach out to the IRS on your behalf."

"In Connecticut alone there have beenover 676,000 payments distributed to date for the 3rdround, totaling about $1.3 billion dollars. That is critical moneyhelping people to pay their rent, their food, or even their college tuition," said Corbin. "To ensure that all of the benefits ofthe American Rescue Plan are made available to the most vulnerable populations and to all taxpayers it'll take all of us coming together to talk about how these benefitsare designed to help our economy andour taxpayers."
