Larson Applauds The University of Hartford Magnet School In West Hartford
Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) announced today that the University of Hartford Magnet School in West Hartford, CT has been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School for 2018 by the U.S. Department of Education. Each school will receive a National Blue Ribbon plaque and a flag in honor of its status.
“Congratulations to Principal Tim Barber, the staff, teachers, parents, and especially the students of the University of Hartford Magnet School for being recognized as a model of excellence,” said Larson. “This coveted award signifies that the school has not only achieved academic excellence, but has created a safe and welcoming environment for children to learn and grow. The unique curriculum at the magnet school, based on the theory of Multiple Intelligences, allows all students to discover their individual talents and strengths. I am extremely proud to have such a wonderful school and community in my district, and thrilled they have been recognized with this award.”
