Larson Applauds Over $1.2 Million in Energy Projects Awarded to UTRC
Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) applauded the announcement that the United Technologies Research Center (UTRC) was awarded two federal grants totaling $1,261,282 from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E).
“Connecticut’s First District is a hub of manufacturing and innovation. These grants will support well-paying, stable jobs and groundbreaking research. UTRC’s work continues to be on the forefront of advanced manufacturing and the development of energy efficiency technologies,” said Larson. “As we address the global climate crisis, this work allows our nation to have access to reliable and affordable energy solutions and ensures our place as a global leader.”
UTRC was awarded:
- $697,094 for the LENS: Learning Enabled Network Synthesis project. UTRC’s work on this project will result in significant energy savings.
- $564,188 for the MULTI-LEADER: MULTI-source LEarning-Accelerated Design of high-Efficiency multi-stage compressor project. This project works to address energy-efficiency.
