Larson Applauds Grant for Hartland Bridge
Hartland, CT – “I commend Governor Malloy for his commitment to ensuring Connecticut’s infrastructure remains safe, sound, and dependable,” said Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01). “The Peck Orchard Road Bridge in Hartland sees significant use, especially during rush hour. This grant will allow Hartland to completely replace this lynchpin of local travel, providing residents with a safer, easier commute. Improvements in transportation also spur the economy, creating new jobs and supporting surrounding businesses. This is truly a huge win for Hartland.”
Yesterday, Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced that Hartland would receive $450,000 under the Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP). Hartland is one of thirteen towns across Connecticut selected under this latest award.
