Larson: American Rescue Plan Delivers More than Half a Billion for First District

Hartford, CT – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) announced that First District municipalities and school districts will be receiving more than half a billion dollars in COVID relief after county funding was allocated to local municipalities.
"As vaccination rates have gone up and unemployment rates have gone down, we know the American Rescue Plan is working. Over the past few weeks, I've seen firsthand the impact the American Rescue Plan has had in our communities. I recently visited Manchester, where they are using some of the funding they've been allocated to expand their human services programs, including expanding their local food pantry," said Larson. "COVID was a devastating blow to our communities and it exacerbated existing funding lapses. The American Rescue Plan will not only help communities recover, but help them build back better."
