Larson Votes to Remove U.S. Troops from Yemen

Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) released the following statement after voting to approve the Senate-passed S.J. Res. 7, to remove U.S. Armed forces from the Republic of Yemen.

"The conflict in Yemen has turned into a large-scale humanitarian crisis. The United States' involvement in the in Yemen was never authorized by Congress. The Administration has yet to present any sign of a comprehensive strategy on Yemen, and I'm glad Congress has finally had a debate and is taking action. I applaud Senator Chris Murphy's leadership on this effort," said Larson.
