Larson Votes to Protect the Full Faith & Credit of the United States

December 15, 2021

Washington, D.C. - Last night, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) and the House voted to address the debt limit and protect the full faith and credit of the United States.

"As we continue to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and the economy recovers, the United States cannot afford to default on its obligations. In addition to causing global economic chaos, millions of Americans, including Social Security beneficiaries and veterans, would be left in the lurch. This debt was incurred previously and during the Trump Administration the debt increased by $7.8 trillion. I'm glad Congress was able to come together and take this important vote," said Larson.
