Larson Votes to Protect Free and Fair Elections

Washington, D.C. - Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) voted for the Presidential Election Reform Act, bipartisan legislation to reform and strengthen our electoral count and prevent future attempts to undermine presidential elections. 

“The January 6th attack on our nation’s Capitol is a dark stain on our history, and many Americans will never know how close our democracy came to being overturned by insurrectionists committed to stopping the peaceful transfer of power,” said Larson. “I voted for this legislation today to strengthen the integrity of future presidential elections and ensure the Will of the People cannot be subverted by those who want to alter the outcome. As the Big Lie regarding the 2020 election continues, this legislation could not be timelier, and I am proud to support it today. I urge my Senate colleagues to urgently pass it.”
