Larson Statement on the Passing of Former Chief of Staff and Human Resources Commissioner Elliot Ginsberg

May 13, 2020

Hartford, CT – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) released the following statement on the passing of his longtime friend and former Chief of Staff, Elliot Ginsberg.

"Elliot epitomized the nobility of public service. He always put service to his community and nation above himself. He did this from his service as a medic in the Army Reserves, to working at Connecticut Legal Services, to serving as Commissioner of Human Resources under Governor O'Neill. He was my Chief of Staff running both the Hartford and DC offices and became the founder and CEO of the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology. He made our community, our state, and our nation a better place. He was more than a Chief of Staff and a friend. He was a brother who cared for my family like it was his own. Our hearts go out to his wife Lorie, forever by his side through this dreaded disease, his son Matthew, and all of his beloved friends and family."
