Larson Statement on ‘First Phase’ of Gaza Peace Plan to Bring Home Hostages

East Hartford, CT – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) released the following statement on news of the ‘first phase’ of a peace plan between Israel and Hamas to pause fighting in Gaza and bring the remaining hostages home.  

“Two years since the horrific October 7^th attacks, I am encouraged to hear that there is an agreement to bring home all remaining hostages from their Hamas captors and bring an end to the war in Gaza that has caused immense suffering for so many,” said Larson. “I urge everyone involved in negotiations to remain committed to the terms of the agreement that have been put forward. U.S. leadership must continue to do everything it can to facilitate progress toward a lasting peace.”
