Larson Statement on Afghanistan

Hartford, CT – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) released the following statement after the terrorist attack outside of the Kabul airport, which injured and killed many people, including U.S. servicemembers.

"My heart goes out to the families of the brave United States servicemembers who lost their lives working to evacuate American citizens, Afghan partners and allies. We mourn them as well as the innocent civilians lost today and condemn this terrible terrorist attack," said Larson. "I support President Biden's decision to work with our military leaders and continue the mission to get every American and ally out of Afghanistan. This is a very dangerous mission, and we forever owe a debt of gratitude to those who put themselves in harm's way in the service of America."
