Washington – “TSA workers, the Coast Guard, and others at the Department of Homeland Security work to protect our nation every single day. While none of these individuals deserved the uncertainty caused by last week’s near shutdown, I am pleased that cooler heads prevailed today as House Republican Leadership finally realized the necessity of putting the American people’s safety above politics. With deadlines for other vital funding legislation on the horizon, I urge Members on both sides of the aisle to end this taste great, less filling trend in Washington and work together to move our nation forward.”
