Larson Named Chair of the Ways and Means Social Security Subcommittee Again
Washington, D.C. - Today it was announced that Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) will serve as Chairman of the Social Security Subcommittee again.
“I am honored to serve as the Chairman of the Ways and Means Social Security Subcommittee. I am proud to work alongside of my colleagues in Congress, and most importantly I’m excited about President Biden’s focus on Social Security, and the Senate being in Democratic hands. This will provide us with an opportunity to continue to push Social Security to the forefront and ensure senior citizens receive the benefits they have earned throughout a lifetime of work. It’s been 38 years since Congress has done anything to improve and enhance Social Security. Our goal is to work with the Biden Administration to make sure that happens.”
