Larson Implores President Trump to Comply with Court Order to Facilitate the Return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia

East Hartford, CT – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) released the following statement applauding Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen for standing up for his constituent who was mistakenly deported to El Salvador, and imploring President Trump to comply with court orders to facilitate his return home.
“I want to commend my good friend and former colleague, Senator Chris Van Hollen, for his tireless work standing up for his constituent who was mistakenly deported to a prison in El Salvador,” said Larson. “If President Trump had only half as much concern as Senator Van Hollen, Kilmar Abrego Garcia would be home with his family today. I will continue to work with my colleagues to keep the pressure on the Trump Administration to comply with the Supreme Court’s order to facilitate Mr. Abrego Garcia’s return to Maryland where he belongs. Republicans in Congress need to join our calls. We are a co-equal branch of government, just like the courts. They cannot continue to stay silent as this Administration ignores due process and tries to defy court orders.”
