Larson on House Republican Leadership’s Failed Attempt to Pass a Short-Term DHS Funding Bill
February 27, 2015
Washington – “It is now clear that it’s time to bring a clean, long-term Department of Homeland Security funding bill to the floor after even their own conference rejected their plan. No political difference of opinion is worth risking the safety of our country. Our TSA agents, Homeland Security officials, and other individuals protecting the American people do not deserve to be held hostage any longer.”
Earlier today, the U.S. Senate passed a clean, long-term funding bill on a bipartisan basis. That measure could be brought to the House floor at any time by Republican Leadership.
