Larson on the Designation of Dr. James Billington as Librarian of Congress Emeritus

Washington – “I commend my colleagues in Congress for establishing the honorary designation of Librarian of Congress Emeritus as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2016,” said Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01). “For nearly thirty years, Dr. Billington stood at the helm of the Library of Congress, steering the nation’s fortress of knowledge and humanity through times of massive cultural change and technological advancement.
