Larson Applauds German Acquisition of F-35s
Washington, D.C. - Joint Strike Fighter Caucus Co-ChairRep. John B. Larson (CT-01) applauded the announcement that Germany will be acquiring 35 F-35A Fighters as it ramps its defense capabilities. Earlier this month the Larson and the other Caucus Co-Chairs wrote to Chancellor Scholz asking him to consider the F-35 Lightening II as a replacement for their current Tornado fleet.
“During these uncertain times the acquisition of the F-35 will help Germany and NATO bolster defenses and deter any aggression. I’m proud of the work of the machinists in my district and this latest announcement is further validation that we have the best of the best. The F-35 supports around 40 suppliers andmore than 6,000 jobs in my district and this purchase will further support these good-paying jobs,” said Larson.
