Larson Applauds Aetna’s Waiving Payments for COVID-19 Related Treatment; Calls for Others to Follow Their Lead

Hartford, CT – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) applauded CVS's announcement that Aetna will be waiving cost-sharing and co-pays for inpatient hospital admissions related to COVID-19 treatment, as well as requirements in hard hit states for pre-authorization of hospital admissions. Larson called for others to do the same:

"This a difficult time in the world and we all need to come together to combat this pandemic head on. No one should have to worry about payment for care if they are admitted to the hospital to treat this virus. I applaud Aetna and CVS for their announcement today. This is exactly the kind of leadership we need across the private and public sectors. Other companies in the private sector should follow Aetna's lead. We need an all hands-on-deck approach to get our nation through this crisis," said Larson.
