Larson Announces Legislative Staff Changes

Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) announced a staff change in his DC legislative office. David Sitcovsky has been promoted to Chief of Staff to succeed Lee Slater who is departing to be the Director of Outreach and Member Services for the Ways and Means Committee.

"David Sitcovsky is recognized on the Hill and by his peers as one of the most knowledgeable policy experts. He has served in several capacities in our office and most recently as Legislative Director. He is eminently qualified to take on the responsibilities of Chief of Staff. I could not be prouder of this native of the First District, hailing from Glastonbury," said Larson.

"I'd like to thank Congressman Larson for giving me the opportunity to continue serving the First District in this new role, as Chief of Staff. It has been an honor to work for him and alongside a dedicated and hardworking group of staff over the past eight years in support of the Congressman's work on behalf of the district and the nation. I look forward to continuing this work in this new position. I'd also like to thank Lee for his leadership and congratulate him on his new position with the Ways and Means Committee. He has been a great colleague and mentor to me and I wish him the best of luck," said Sitcovsky.

A native of Glastonbury, CT, Sitcovsky has served his home district on Larson's staff as Legislative Director since 2012 and as a Legislative Assistant from 2008-2012. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor's in Sociology and Political Science and earned a Master's in Public Policy from the College of William and Mary.
