Larson Advances Bipartisan Health and Family Support Legislation
Washington, D.C. - Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) voted in the Ways and Means Committee to advance bipartisan legislation to improve opportunities for home visiting and mental health resources.
“By providing Americans with increased access to early childhood home visiting and mental health resources, we are giving our community the resources they need to live happy, healthy lives,” said Larson. “The bills we moved forward today meet Americans where they are and will remove barriers to getting the help they need and deserve.
“My legislation, the Know Your Provider Act, which was signed into law last Congress, required insurance companies keep an up-to-date directory of providers in network. Today, we build upon that progress and ensure it is easily accessible which of these providers are accepting new patients and make these directories even more available. No one should have to struggle to find the care they need, and today, we are another step closer to making health care more accessible,” Larson continued.
