CONGRESSMAN LARSON STATEMENT ON THE HEALTH OF SENATOR KENNEDY

Washington, DC -- Congressman John B. Larson(CT-01), Vice Chair of the DemocraticCaucus, released the following statement regarding news that Senator EdwardKennedy has been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor.

"Senator Ted Kennedyis a fighter and I have no doubt he will face this next challenge as he hasevery other - with strength and purpose and will. Senator Kennedy is an American icon. His leadership and ideals have done so muchfor this country. He's the heart of the New England Congressional delegation and I feel honoredto work with him as a force for good in our area. My prayers are with the Senator today andwith his wife Vicki, his children, including my dear colleague Patrick, and theentire Kennedy family."
