American Council of Life Insurers Honors Larson

September 6, 2017

Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) received the 2017 Financial Security & Life Insurance Caucuses' Freedom & Dignity Award from the American Council of Life Insurers, alongside Senator Johnny Isakson (R-GA).

"I'd like to thank ACLI for this great honor. As we face a looming retirement crisis, it is more important than ever that Congress advance public policies that promote economic security for all Americans. As a member of the Ways & Means Committee and the Ranking Member on the Social Security Subcommittee, I look forward to working with bipartisan leaders like Senator Isakson on this critical issue. Congress must prioritize policies to help people prepare financially for retirement and to safeguard their loved ones, because nobody should have to retire into poverty or worry about leaving their loved ones with the burden of debts. I'd like to thank Governor Kempthorne and ACLI for the services and education they provide to countless Americans planning for their and their families' financial futures," said Larson.
